Polish companies have been the predominant source of our recent uptime. However, Cogent's CEO seems directly invested in shutting us down. I have had multiple run ins with Cogent and this is their most aggressive.

Usually the Tier 1 ISPs have censored the Kiwi Farms by simply refusing to broadcast my IP addresses. However, since Liz Fong-Jones has been successful in censoring the Internet this way, I no longer even try using my IPs.

This time, Cogent has directly instructed a customer of theirs to stop providing us - by name, through the customer's own IP addresses - networking infrastructure.

No company has done this until now. This is the most invasive, direct actioning from any ISP thus far.

If you are in the industry you need to make it absolutely clear to Cogent that you intend to move your business elsewhere.

Just to confirm, Cogent's CEO is directly forcing two customers to drop us, not just one.

There is now precedent for this to be done to ANY WEBSITE that some unelected fatcat deems unpopular, and not only that, to force other companies to do so.

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT NULL/JOSH.

The AGO has confirmed it has received complaints from Incognet and Crunchbits and that the complaints fall under the scope of their office. I am filing mine this week.

Residents of Washington may be needed soon.

Edit 1: Small update but when we tried to route another /48 off my subnet it was also blocked immediately before ever being pushed live as an AAAA record. In short, this means the company is actively hawking my subnets and terminating them as soon as they go up to deliberately deprive Washington residents of Internet access to websites of their choice.

1691526334993.png

Edit 2: Actually, they blocked my /32, which means Hurricane Electric is blocking 65,536 network blocks containing 65,536 subscriber blocks each with each subscriber block containing 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 possible addresses. With this number, I could assign each gram of the Earth's total mass 74 IP addresses each. They have done this specifically to accomplish keeping Washington residents off the Kiwi Farms.

Is Intel arc a meme?

An a770 le might cost 50$ more than the rx6700 in my country, but it’s got twice the tflops, 30% more transistors and 4 gigs of extra ram. It’s clearly the superior card when it comes to performance, so I’m not sure why I shouldn’t go Intel this year.

I checked one of those performance comparisons on YouTube, and it absolutely destroys team red in 4k and ray tracing, and provides pretty similar performance in older games.

Most ordinary people these days want a slick user interface with lots of smooth edges, curves, and plain colors with a corporate memphis art style. Importantly, they want something that feeds their narcissism and allows them to express their identity through an avatar and a bunch of friends with all this including their irl info. Lastly, they are actually profitable tech companies whereas imageboards often run at a loss and are just community projects, so there's no way you'd get financing for an internet forum to compete with social media.

>>137
> I don't think there'll be a mainstream internet forum, ever,
2channel, the grandaddy of all chan sites, was as mainstream as Reddit in Japan and the country's biggest internet community until it split in 2014. At one time, it was the biggest site on the internet and it was an anonymous textboard/BBS.

>>144
All I can think of is an anonymous version of Reddit with the kind of attitude to moderation you see on some of the better imageboards. But it would still have to have that memphis art style and have the look and feel of a Silicone Valley tech company.

I doubt imageboards or internet forums will ever be as big as they used to be and anonymous 2chan/4chan type sites are on the way out. Vast majority of gen Z just don't trust those places and see them negatively.

I paid 2000 bucks for one of those back in the day and I can’t even replace the fucking battery. You have to somehow remove the peeling and cum stained alcantara without ripping it (ifixit couldn’t do it), and then you have to remove every component because the battery is connected UNDER the motherboard, which is a lot harder said than done considering that every connector goes under its own spot welded RF shield. That probably means that the fcc is going to take away your newly repaired laptop once you start it up.

It has a 0 repair ability score for a reason

for free your best shot is gonna be self-hosted on an old pc, using mySQL. vichan (what comfychan is based on) as well as lainchan are both open source on github, so they're recommended. also since you're asking the question to begin with, i'd just go with ubuntu desktop for the host server, its not ideal for professional use but the gui will make it easier for you
landchad.net also has some good resources on self hosting.
note that it won't be 100% free as you'll have to buy a domain, unless you're fine with the site just being your ip address, not a problem if its just friends but for public use thats not a great idea.
