I'm sorry.

Almost two months ago, I was temporarily forced out of my home and shut down the site due to a lack of jannies. This wasn't the first time this happened, but it felt different; liberating, almost.

This site has become a responsibility for me and doesn't bring me the joy it once used to. Hosting an image board on the little british microcomputer on my desk is no longer a novel or interesting affair, it's become yet another menial task. I used to check on this website almost daily, but after my first absence, i was forced to bring it back to life myself. I dreaded visiting this url, and days of absence turned into weeks, and once it was time to leave the country and was forced to face what it had become, i finally decided to simply turn it off to get it off my back.

Now that christmas season is approaching and i have more time than i once had, i decided to give it one last chance. The old threads are all way past the one month necroposting threshold, and even the cp spammers have moved on. I won't be here to help you, but i trust that you guys can do something with this site's rotting corpse.

Start new threads, tell your friends, and contact me on discord (enigmaticpersona) if you're interested in moderating in my place. Good luck.

Magi your problem is that you've made a site that is visually and functionally no different to 4chan except it bans all of the things 4chan zombies love: po rn and extremist politics. This place doesn't have anything to distinguish it from the horde of other garbage imageboards out there. This place needs to be unique, that's why Kissu, Heyuri and Wapchan have users and we don't anymore.

As I’m sure you already know, we’ve recently been hit with a second soyjak.party raid that wiped the /b/ board.

Unfortunately, i failed to back up the site during my absence, which means that all /b/ threads from the past month or so have been completely wiped.

However, the good news is that I figured out a way to append the /b/ board from the month-old backup to the current mysql database, so the other boards should be unaffected.

Exactly one year ago, the link to a small imageboard going by the name of classichan was posted to 4chan. What started a week earlier as a thread on r9k quickly evolved into a small discord server, and after about only about a week of “development” (troubleshooting broken dependencies), it was finally live.

Since then, the site has seen countless changes and redesigns, and yet, through thick and thin, you guys have stayed here and kept this place alive, despite my complete neglect of the site. And so now, to make up for it, I think it’s about time I do something big for you guys. In the following month(s), I will try to add some major improvements to the site. But in the meanwhile, I think it’s time for an AMA.

So make yourself comfortable, take a sip of the complimentary cool aid, and ask me whatever you want.

After two consecutive raids in a month, with loads of posts failing to get backed up, this website was left as a shell of it's former self. A website that used to get up to thousand uniques a day reduced to one with 200 at most. I stopped caring ages ago, and it's my neglect that brought the site to it's knees. To those still left: I'm sorry.

However, as if by fucking divine intervention, i got an email from 4chan's advertising "team" (nice try hiroyuki). After completely ignoring my countless emails for about 5 months, I'm told they have a new self serve advertising system. I updated the banner ad from the classichan days and gave it 20 bones, so here's to hoping it sparks some interest in this place.
